Jamie Rodigan (son of David) and Aaron Horn are back under a new guise – Crate Classics. Their previous project Sam And The Womp sold millions of singles and saw them support MIA as well as play alongside Disclosure, Mark Ronson and Kranium.
Fresh from producing album opener Woman on Doja Cat‘s new project Planet Her, Crate Classics latest single recalls nineties Detroit techno and ‘big room breakbeat’ – it’s a collaboration with Eliza Legzdina, who’s recently worked with Idris Elba (for the single Fudge) and had her music featured in the landmark Michaela Coel series, I May Destroy You.
After the duo brought the beat to her, Eliza set about writing the lyrics. “Aaron and Jamie are such talented musicians and kind, special people. I’m very lucky this is the first track of many we get to share with the world”.
