Not many DJ’s make the transition from drum’n’bass and jungle to bass and house, and even fewer have done it as smoothly as Ben Pettit. As DJ Zinc, he’s responsible for some seminal club tracks over the years, including bassline classics Wile Out featuring Ms Dynamite and 138 Trek (has this tune ever not been reloaded in the rave?), which is included in his sterling mix for Bonafide below.
Zinc will be performing a special jungle set at David Rodigan’s Ram Jam show at The Warehouse Project next month, and before that he has a free track titled Forever coming out on the 28th October. His mix is a nice summation of his career to date, featuring a healthy dose of contemporary bass and tough house, before finishing in raucous fashion with L.T.J. Bukem’s Music.
