So, the early reactions are in and to the astonishment of the media community it would appear that Denis Villeneuve’s remake of Ridley Scott’s much loved tech-noir classic is not just good but in fact; ‘amazing’ ‘stunning’, ‘breathtaking’ and possibly, maybe, just better than the original?!
These tweets certainly bode well. And a much needed boost for the morale of a movie-going public weary of the conveyor belt of bland super-hero franchises and tepid reworks of old classics.
Reviews are embargoed until later in the week, but if the tweets from the great and the good of the film media are to be trusted then it’s time to book tickets. In cinemas on the 6th October.
#BladeRunner2049 is a rare sequel that actually improves on the original. Great Performances & Visually Breathtaking. Villeneuve nails it.

Good news! BLADE RUNNER 2049 is a terrific continuation and expansion of the orig. Wasn’t hoping for much, ended up LOVING it. (Even Leto!)
