SNAPS: 30 Years of Public Enemy at Chip Shop Brixton

Bonafide has been a supporter of Chip Shop since it opened. While it’s still serving high calibre comfort food (the house made chilli sauce is a demon) set to classic sounds, we’ve primarily been impressed by their accomplishments and continuing efforts to establish themselves as the true home of old school hip-hop in London.

A few weeks ago they held a night that will go down in the history books… those lengthy scriptures yet to be written on UK hip-hop. Billed as an event celebrating 30 years of Public Enemy, the night saw a host of veterans roll through to spit bars and generally soak up the gritty atmosphere. One of our photographers was there to document as Skinnyman and Rodney P were joined by Chuck D, B Real, Masta Ace and Craig G among others.

Peep the snaps and video from the night below.
