Bandcamp to donate Friday’s profits to TLC

Bandcamp are once again proving what a progressive, caring business they are. This Friday, 4th August, they will donate their share of profits from merch and music sales to the Transgender Law Centre, a nonprofit organisation that works tirelessly to change law, policy and culture for the more equitable.

This comes after Trump broke the news on his favourite social platform that transgender people will no longer be able to serve in the military. In a sickening tweet he said; “victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail..”

Bandcamp have said in response; “[we are] a platform for artistic expression, and all manner of variance in experience and identity, including gender and sexuality, is welcome here. We support our LGBT+ users and staff, and we stand against any person or group that would see them further marginalized.”

Read their full statement here and support TLC, trans rights and artists by emptying your wish list this Friday.
