A beautifully soulful new single drops from CARRTOONS aka New York multi-instrumentalist Ben Carr – Put Me On also features Birmingham RnB powerhouse Reuben James and the sultry tones of Joanna Teters.
The single precedes CARRTOONS’ second studio album Saturday Night, out this Friday October 6th on Wichita Recordings.
Speaking on the track, Ben says:
“‘Put Me On’ is a track about feeling grateful for the people who gave me the opportunity to be where I am today. I originally wrote this track with singer Joanna Teters in mind, who I’ve been working with for almost 15 years now. When I needed an extra feature, it seemed appropriate to also bring in my friend from the UK, Reuben James, to finish this one. The themes all felt like a perfect match for his voice.“
His second studio album, Saturday Night, he calls an ode to joy and a love love letter to the New York creative scene, with contributions from his friends Jay Prince, Haile Supreme, Bad Snacks and Topaz Jones. It builds on the massive popularity of debut album, 2022’s Homegrown, and the huge buzz around his live dates.
