Exclusive Premiere: Stream Nubiyan Twist’s eponymous debut album

Grown in the fertile Leeds music scene while studying at Leeds College Of Music, 12-piece band Nubiyan Twist have earned a reputation for electric live performances, which has seen them collaborate with Ruby Wood from Submotion Orchestra and play alongside De La Soul, Bonobo, Quantic, MF Doom and Robert Glasper over the course of their three year lifespan.

Bringing to mind such artists as Fela Kuti and The Heliocentrics with influences ranging from J Dilla to Herbie Hancock, Brand Nubiyan fuse groove-driven music from around the world with jazzy improvisation and a giant horn section to boot.

The band’s eponymous debut album is set for release on 30th March through Wormfood Records, and we are delighted to have been given the world premiere stream of the entire record below. Scroll down past the player and check the video from their recently released debut single Work House too.

You can pre-order the album over on Nubiyan Twist’s Bandcamp page here.
