First Word Records, home to Children Of Zeus, Yazmin Lacey, Kaidi Tatham, Eric Lau and Tall Black Guy to name only a few from an outstanding roster, will be releasing a special digital compilation to celebrate Europe on March 29, the official date of the UK’s exit from the European Union. The label would like to feature music from as many European countries (not just within the EU) as possible, and are putting a call out for contributions.
“In a time rife with division & uncertainty, we’d like to celebrate unity and diversity. The best way we know how… music,” says the label. Profits will be split 50:50 with artists, and the label will donate 50% of their share between The Refugee Council and Shelter. If you think you’ve got something that would fit, hit them up with Soundcloud links at eu-music@firstwordrecords.com.
