Known for killer collabs on the Mello Music Group label, including two excellent Marlowe albums with longtime friend Solemn Brigham and a recent critically-lauded album with Namir Blade, L’Orange is ready to unleash a new, dedicated instrumental long player in September entitled The World Is Still Chaos, But I Feel Better.
Opening with narration by Andreea Dinag and Sora The Troll, Coffee follows the free download of Durbin Was A Track House over on Bandcamp.
“It’s good to make coffee, and sleep, and wake up, and cook food and eat the food that you cook and being well enough to be well enough for people who like it when you’re well enough to be anything,” L’Orange explains via this opening narration. It’s do with just living, and surviving. “It’s ok to be proud of yourself for simple things.”
Smoky, jazzy, bouncy melancholy make this instantly recognisable as L’Orange – do yourself a favour and check his back catalogue on Bandcamp if you’ve not had the pleasure.
The World Is Still Chaos, But I Feel Better is out September 3rd 2021 on Mello Music Group. Pre-order the album right here.
